| Product Screening Options |
|
We offer up to several different types of screening on our products. Check the individual product information pages for specific screening for a specific product. Most of our screening procedures follow Class H specified procedures under MIL-PRF-38534 or MIL-STD-202. Unless noted otherwise, all methods reference MIL-STD-883.
|
| Standard |
|
All products manufactured by Interpoint undergo a rigorous screening process at no extra charge to you. Standard screening includes:
Pre-cap inspection per Methods 2017, 2032
24-hour burn-in at maximum rated temperature
Final electrical test at 25°C
Gross leak hermeticity dip test
Final inspection per Method 2009
|
| Environmental Screening (ES) |
For extra reliability, order parts with environmental screening. In addition to the standard screening listed above, environmental screening includes:
- Pre-cap inspection per Methods 2017, 2032
- 96-hour burn-in at maximum rated temperature
- Gross leak hermeticity testing per Method 1014, Cond. C
- Fine leak hermeticity testing per Method 1014, Cond. A
- Final inspection per Method 2009
- Constant acceleration per Method 2001 (500g)
- Temperature cycling per Method 1010, -55 to +125°C
- Final electrical test at 25°C

| MIL-STD-883 Screening (883) |
This screening is compliant to the screening conditions of MIL-STD-883, per MIL-PRF-38534. Units with this screening are built exclusively with element evaluated components and qualified processes. The specific procedures are outlined below:
- Pre-cap inspection per Methods 2017, 203
- Temperature cycling per Method 1010, Cond. C
- Constant acceleration per Method 2001, Cond. A (5000g)
- Burn-in per Method 1015, 160 hours at 125°C
- Fine leak testing per Method 1014, Cond. A
- Gross leak testing per Method 1014, Cond. C
- Final electrical test per MIL-H-38534, Group A
- Final inspection per Method 2009

| Stress Test Screening - MK200 Series (ST) |
The MK200 is available with special stress test screening. The ST screening includes:
- Pre-cover visual inspection per IPC-610A, Class III
- Temperature shock per MIL-STD-202, Method 107, Cond. B (modified to 10 cycles), -55°C to +125°C
- Mechanical shock per MIL-STD-202, Method 213, Cond. D (500 g).
- Burn-in per MIL-STD-202, Method 108, Cond. A, 125°C for 96 hours
- Final electrical test per Interpoint acceptance test procedure at -55°C, +25°C, and +125°C
- Gross leak dip test

| Class K Screening (/CHK) |
Class K screening is the final step in reliability above Class H (/883) screening and identifies products fully qualified for space applications. Class K screening includes:
- Nondestruct wire bond pull per Method 2023
- Pre-cap inspection per Methods 2017, 2032
- Temperature Cycle per Method 1010, Cond. C
- Constant Acceleration per Method 2001, Cond. A
- PIND Test per Method 2020, Cond. B
- Pre-burn in test
- Burn-in (2% PDA) per Method 1015, 125°C
- Final electrical test per MIL-H-38534, Group A
- Fine leak testing per Method 1014, Cond. A
- Gross leak testing per Method 1014, Cond. C
- Radiography per Method 2012
- Final visual inspection per Method 2009
